Signature : (Edagikumon) Omi Kami Minamoto Hisamichi(1st generation)

Shinto: Jyo Saku: Yamashiro province.
(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo saku, Jyojyo saku
Jyo saku and regular saku)
This Omi Kami Minamoto Hisamichi(1st generation) belongs to Jyojyo saku ranking.
The blade was polished.
Blade length : 63.7 cm or 25.07 inches.
Sori : 1.1 cm or 0.43 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 3.08 cm or 1.21 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.05 cm or 0.80 inches.
Kasane : 0.70 cm or 0.27 inches.
Era : Edo period around Enpo era(1673-1681).
Shape : Regular size Katana.
Jitetsu : Ko-Itame Hada well grained with Jinie attach.
The Hada(texture) is beautiful.
Hamon: Nie Deki, Gunome Midare and Doran-Ha with thick Nioikuchi.
In Ha, there are Sunagashi and Kinsuji. Boshi is Notare Hakikake style.

Special feature : Oumi no kami MInamoto HIsamichi was called Hori Rokuroubee
and was a student of second generation Iganokami Kinmichi.
He had three names. He worked as one of 5 Kyoto kaji.
After receiving the name of Oumidaijyo he has received Oumikami.
Shoutoku first year(1711) he has passed away at the age of 85.
He was successful from the Kanbun period to Shoutoku period first year.
This sword is wide and thick firm piece. The many activities in the blade
and the cutting edge that is across shinogiji is marvelous.
We recommend this healthy first generation Hisamichi.
