This sword belongs to Jyo-Jyo saku ranking.

The blade was polished.
Habaki : Gold foiled double habaki.
Blade length : 74.5 cm or 29.33 inches.
Sori : 1.1 cm or 0.43 inches.

Width at the hamachi : 3.05 cm or 1.20 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.12 cm or 0.83 inches.
Kasane : 0.74 cm or 0.29 inches.
Era : Edo period Kanbun era.
Shape : The blade is rather long with small sori which is called Kanbun style.
Jigane : Itanme hada well grained with jinie attach.
Hamon : Niedeki suguha from the hamachi area and then gunome midare with thick nioikuchi and small gunome midare mixed with sunagashi and also small kinsuji.
Boshi is round shape.
special feature : Yamato (No) Kami Yasusada was a pupil of the First generation Yasutsugu of Echizen province.
The First Shogun Tokugawa Ieyasu permitted Yasutsugu the First using hollyhock crest and the character Yasu.
Yasusada mainly forged sword at Edo and their collaboration survives.
This katana shows traditional kambun-shinto style. Yasusada's sword has good reputation for sharpness.
Yasusada is qute well known cut well swords.
Yamada Asauemon tried many Yasusada and engraved gold inlay Tameshigiri mei.
So from Edo period, many samurai like shisengumi.
Okita soshi, Iba Hachiro, Ooishi kamajiro loved Yasusada sword.
He was a swordsmith of the Kii ishido school and moved to Edo.
At Meireki first year, Date family invited him to make sword for the memory of Tokugawa and also asked to make sword for the anniversary of the Masamune's death.
He made sword gassaku mei with his students.
Koshirae :
Saya : Black color mizami saya.
Fuchikashira : On the syakudo ishimeji, dragon is engraved.
Tsuba : On the mokko style syakudo ishimeji, dragon is engraved with gold color rim.
Menuki : A dragon is engraved with gold color by syakudo plate.
