The blade was polished.
Habaki :copper single habaki.
Blade length : 37.4cm or 14.72inches.
Sori : 0.6cm or 0.24inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi :3.07cm or 1.2inches.
Kasane : 0.72cm or 0.28inches.
Era : Early Edo Period (Ansei 7th Year 1860)
Shape: It is wide and thick solid katana.
The nakago tang is good and the Yasuri-me(filing mark) is clear.
The condition is very good.
Hamon: NIe deki suguha with mixture of notame appearing.
There is sunagashi and kinsujiwork.
The deep Nioiguchi and soft Habuchi is soft in the boshi.
It is round burn down style.
Special feature :Fujieda Taro Teruyoshi is a son of Terukazu and feuderal retainer
of Kawagoe domain. He has curved cheryy flower and tomoe mon.
Because he was a student of Hosokawa Masayoshi, the filing mark
of the nakago is quite similar to that of Masayoshi.
HIstorical Background: Ansei 7th Year March 24th(Ansei 3rd year March 3rd)
Ii Naosuke、the Daimyo of the Daimyo Tokugawa Shogunate,
was assasinated in Sakurada Mongai.
