This Ikeda Kazuhide belongs to Jyo saku ranking.
The blade was polished
Blade length : 69.2 cm or 27.24 inches.
Sori : 1.3 cm or 0.51 inches.

Width at the hamachi : 2.88 cm or 1.13 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.07 cm or 0.81 inches.
Kasane : 0.63 cm or 0.24 inches.
Era : Late Edo period, Bunsei era.
Shape : Regular size Katana.
Jitetsu :Koitame hada well grained with Jinie attach.
Hamon : Nie Deki, Suguha.
Special feature : Kazuhide was born in Akita pref in 1774.
After he studied under Suishinshi Masahide in Edo, he became
a hired swodsmith of Sakai clan of Shonai.
His characteristic is Muji-hada, and his blades are similar to Suishinshi Masahide.
He made many high quality blades.
He passed away in May 1841, aged 69.
This blade has typical Muji-hada by Kazuhide.

Saya : Black Roiro Saya.
Menuki : Shakudo, feathers are engraved with gold color.
Kozuka : Shakudo, naval action is engraved with gold color.
