Width at the hamachi : 3.05 cm or 1.20 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 1.75 cm or 0.68 inches.
Kasane : 0.67 cm or 0.26 inches.
Era : Late Edo period Tenpo to Kaei(1839-1854)
Shape : It is wide and thick with some sori.
The kissaki is long end nice shape katana.
Jitetsu : Koitame hada well grained with jinie attached.
It is clear muji style jitetsu.
Hamon : From the hamachi it is suguha.
The hamon gradually becomes gunome midare
with combination of choji midare. Boshi is round turnback.
Special feature : Tsunanobu( Akama Tsunanobu) is a swordsmith of Yonezawa,
Yamagata prefecture. He is said to be the student of Tsunahide.
His real name is Kisaburo and has learned the skill of Kato Tsunahide.
At that time, he made works of choji midare like Chounsai Tsunatoshi's hamon.
This work has rare Nijimei(two character signature) but it is definitely
work of Tsunanobu.
It is work of the Tsunahide.
