Jyo saku and regular saki)This sword belongs to Jyo saku ranking.
The blade was polished.
Habaki : gold foiled and silver double habaki.
Blade length : 67.8 cm or 26.69 inches.
Sori : 2.2 cm or 0.86 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 3.10 cm or 1.22 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.65 cm or 1.04 inches.
Kasane : 0.75 cm or 0.29 inches.
Era : Muromachi period. around Eiroku era.(1558-1570)
Shape : Regular size Katana with deep Sori. Eisho style Katana.
Jitetsu : Itame Hada and Mokume Hada mix. There are Oo-Hada and Utsuri.
Hamon: Nie Deki, Ito Suguha. There are Ko-Ashi and Nezumi Ashi.
Boshi is Hakikake Fu style.
Special feature : Bishu Osafune Sukesada has flourished during late Muromachi period.
Sukesada made many mass productive items. Bizen swordsmiths were successful in Murokachi period.
The sword had high demands in this period. Because there are many wars.
This blade is old Koto sword. The Jigane is nice. Hamon is Suguha with Ko-Ashi.
Koshirae:
Tsuba: Round shape iron Tsuba, the rim is coverd with Shakudo.
Fuchikashira: Shakudo.
A person and tree are engraved with open work.
Saya: Dark brown Ishimeji Saya.
Menuki: horse is engraved with gold color.
