Jyo saku and regular saki)This sword belongs to Jyo saku ranking.
The blade was polished.
Habaki : Gold foiled single habaki.
Blade length : 50.30 cm or 19.80 inches.
Sori : 1.05 cm or 0.41 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 3.09 cm or 1.21 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.12cm or 0.83 inches.
Kasane : 0.63 cm or 0.24 inches.
Era : Kanei era (1624-1645)
Shape: Kanei style Wakizashi.
Jitetsu: Ko-Itame Hada well grained with Jinie attach.
Hamon: Nie Deki, Suguha base with Notare. In Ha, there are Ko-Ashi.
Boshi is Togari shape.
Special feature :Izumo Kami Rai Kinmichi was a stream of Mino Kanemichi.
Student of the Kanemichi were Iga Kami Kinmichi and Hujiwara Rai Kinmichi.
This sword smith Rai Kinmichi is 3rd generation Hujiwara Rai Kinmichi
and continued to 4th and 5th generation.
This blade is nice. The carving signature is also ecellent.
Koshirae:
Tsuba: Round shape iron Tsuba, chrysanthemum is engraved with gold color.
Fuchikashira: Copper Ishime-Ji, pine tree is engraved with gold color.
Saya: Egg Saya.
Menuki: Shakudo, flower is engraved with gold color.
Kozuka: Shakudo Nanako, chrysanthemum is engraved with gold color.
