The blade was polished.
Blade length : 64.4 cm or 25.35 inches.
Sori : 0.8 cm or 0.31 inches.
Mekugi : 3
Width at the hamachi : 2.66 cm or 1.04 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 1.81 cm or 0.71 inches.
Kasane : 0.56 cm or 0.22 inches.
Era : Late Kamakura period to early Nanbokucho period.
Shape : Ragular size Katana with Sori. Kanbun Shinto style Katana.
There are Chikei and Utsuri.
Jitetsu : Ko-Itame Hada well grained with Jinie attach.
Hamon : Ko-Nie Deki, Suguha. There Ko-Ashi and double Ha.
Boshi is Midarekomi Yakizume style.
Special feature : there had been several swordsmith schools in Yamato province; Tegai, Shikkake, Taima, Senjuin, Hosho. At a glance, a beautiful jitetsu of this katana reminds us of Tegai Kanenaga. The Tegai School swordsmiths tempered fine jitetsu from the Kamakura period to the Nambokucho period.
This sword is typical Tegai school and nice work.
