The blade was polished
Blade length : 66.97cm or 26.36inches.
Sori : 2.12cm or 0.83inches.
Mekugi : 3
Width at the hamachi : 2.65cm or 1.04inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 1.9cm or 0.75inches.
Kasane : 0.8cm or 0.31inches.
Era : Nanbolucyo period.1350(650 years ago)
Shape : It is O-Suriage mume iwith regular width and thickness.
There is deep sori and the kissaki is long. It is nice shape katana.
Jitetsu :Koitame hada well grained with mixture of masa.
There is some minor flaws but it is not serious.
The shinogi-ji is Itame hada with masa flow.
Hamon : Nie structure suguha style with small notare mixed.
There are some ko-ashi seen and the boshi is round end
at the front side and burned to the top on the other side.
Special feature : Hokke is called as Bingo Ichijyo school.
They are all buddists and some (Buddhist) priests were making swords.
These swords are Suguha mainly and gentle feeling.
This sword has passed more than 650 years with polished.
It is O-Suriage mumei with much thickness.
The jigane is itame hada with strong masame hada pattern from the Monouchi area.
There is some fog like Shirake Utsuri seen as well.
Koshirae :
Tsuba :Square shape iron tsuba with pattern inlayed in brass.
Fuchikashira :Shakudo nanako-ji plate with a ladle and Yoroi engraved and inlayed with gold.
Saya : Black unique saya
Menuki : Shakudo plate with wicker basket engraved and inlayed with gold.
