Katana in Shirasaya with Koshriae(NBTHK Hozon Paper)
Signature : Mumei(unsigned) attributed as Suishinshi Masatsugu.
Shinshinto:Jyo saki ranking: Musashi province.
sayagaki was done by Dr Kanzan who was working at NBTHK judge.
Sagami Kuni Tsunahiro Tadasi Oosuriage mumei Jidai Tebun no koro Kanzan shi.
explanation: This blade is Sagami kuni Tsunahiro which was made at Late Muromachi period Tenbun era.
but at this moment, NBTHK judged Suishinshi Masatsgu shinshinto blade.
Probably NBTHK checked the Jigane carefully and judged not so old Jigane.
I think from the shape, the sword looks rather old sword.
Anyway I accect the sword as NBTHK judged Kantei.

The blade was polished.
Blade length : 64.1 cm or 25.23 inches.
Sori : 2.0cm or 0.78 inches.

Width at the hamachi : 2.9cm or 1.14 inches.
Kasane : 2.0 cm or 0.78 inches.
Era : Late Edo period.
Shape The blade is oosuriage mumei(cut shortened ) with deep sori and long kissaki.
Hamon:Niedeki huto suguha based and gunome midair mixed with fat shim Yo work
and also sunagashi, kinsuji scatter active hamon.
Boshi is fat suguha with thick nioikuchi and turns back hitatsra style hamon on the shindigji.
Special feature : Suishinshi Masatsugu studied under the Naotne and got married
with Suishinshi Masahide's 2nd generation' daughter.
The signature is very close of the Masahide.
But his almost of all swords are Sosyuden style which learned from Naotane.
This blade is very active hamon with nice Jigane.
If the Jigane is more old feeling, the blade will be judged as Tsunahiro without question.
The blade is the top ranking his subject.
