The blade was polished.
Habaki: Gold double foiled habaki
Blade length : 72.6cm or 28.58inches.
Sori : 1.7cm or 0.67inches.
Mekugi : 2
Width at the hamachi : 2.92 cm or 1.14 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 1.77 cm or 0.69 inches.
Kasane : 0.68 cm or 0.26 inches.
Era : Late Kamakura period.
Shape :O-suriage mumei sword. It has regular width and thickness
and there is deep sori. It is nice shape katana.
Jitetsu :Koitame hada with mixture of komokume hada well grained with jinie attached.
There is chikei works seen. The jigane is very clear.
Hamon : Konie structure with deep and bright nioi guchi,
There is mixture of nijyuba and uchinoke. Boushi is hakikake style.
Special feature : Of all the Yamato schools such as Shikkake,
Taima, Hosho, Tegai, Senjyuin and others,
Tegai has descended the Yamato group style where they keep
the suguha style until the last generation.
This blade is O-suriage mumei Tegai however
the jigane is in strikingly good condition.
The hamon is bright and it is wonderful Yamato masterpiece.
