Habaki : Gold double foil habaki
Blade length : 21.8 cm or 8.59 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 2.22 cm or 0.87 inches.
Kasane : 0.64 cm or 0.25 inches.
Era : Meiji period.
Shape : It is regular size with thick healthy blade and still leaves Ububa.
Jitetsu : Koitame hada well grained with jinie attached.
It is close to Muji style.
Hamon : Hamachi with nioi base, suguha quenching
and then Gunome Cyoji midare with thicker nioikuchi.
Boshi is round shape Yakisage style.
Special feature : Bizen Osafune Ju Suketada is Yokoyama school swordsmith.
Yokoyama Sukenaga, Yokoyama Sukekane, Suketaka and Yokoyama Sukenao was successful during this time.
The Yokoyama school has continued producing swords after the Meiji banning of swords and he was the last swordsmith of the school.
The piece resembles Yokoyama Sukenaga and Yokoyama Sukegane. It has excellent gonome choji piece.
Koshirae : Black roiro saya with family crest drawn with gold inlay.
Historical background: It is the start of Meiji period when it becomes calm and peaceful.
