The blade is polished.
Habaki : Silver single Habaki.
Blade length : 23.4 cm or 9.21 inches.
Sori : 0.0 cm or 0 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the Hamachi : 2.42 cm or 0.95 inches.
Kasane : 0.66 cm or 0.26 inches.
Era : Late Edo period.
Shape : The blade is thick, balanced size as Tanto.
Jigane : Masame-hada well grained with Jinie attach and Chikei work along with Masame-hada.
Hamon : Niedeki double Hamon Hitatsura style. Boshi turns round shape very deep Yakisage style.
Special feature : This blade is forged by Masakatsu the first generation, who is a student of Katsumura Norikatsu. His Hitatsura Hamon is fine as his Sensei.
Swordsmths of Mito are influenced by Sendai Kunikane so they forged many Masame-Hada blades..
Koshirae :
Saya : Red and gold color lacquered Saya.
Tsuba : Made from Shakudo plate.
Fuchikashira: Many dots like a stars are inlayed with silver on Shakudo plate.
