Era : Edo period Circa Keian(1648-1651)
Shape : It is wide and thick strong looking tanto.
Jitetsu : Koitame hada well grained with Komokume hada mixed and jinie atached.
It is dark jitetsu that reminds of Shukumen hada of Aoe school.
Hamon : Consisted in nie structure, it is suguha with deep nioiguchi.
There are some sunagashi and fine kinsuji activities. Boshi is sharp end hakikake style.
Special feature : Kashu Jyunin Kanemaki is the son of first generation Kashu Goro Uemon and was named MInamura Kiyokusa.
He originally lived in Kanazawa and moved to Komatsu. He has passed away in Eio 4th year(1656).
This tanto reminds of Yoroi Doshi. It is flawless maginificent sword.
The Shinto tanto is quite rare so we recommend you this tanto.
