The blade was polished
Blade length : 70cm or 27.65inches.
Sori : 1.6cm or 0.63inches.
Mekugi :2
Width at the hamachi : 2.95cm or 1.16 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.08cm or 0.82inches.
Kasane : 0.7cm or 0.28inches.
Era : Late Kamakura peirod
Shape : It is osuriage mumei cut shorten tang blade. It has normal width and thickness.
There are bohi engraved in both side od the sword. Kissaki si long ended and nice shape.
Jitetsu :Koitame hada well grained with mixture of mokume. Chikei is attached.
It is clear jigane. There are faint utsuri.
Hamon : It is nie are suguha with koashi well attached. Boushi is round ended.
Special feature : The original head of the Enjyu is Tarou Kunimura who was the student of Rai Kuniyuki.
From Kamakura period to Nanbokucho period the school has flourished at Higo Kikuchi ward.
The representative swordsmith were Kunimura, Kuniyoshi, Kuniyasu and Kuninobu.
Koshirae :
Tsuba :Hozon tosogu tsuba(Kokinko). On shakudou plate , cherry blossom design is engraved and inlayed with gold. IT is from late Muromachi period.
Fuchikashira : Shakudo nanakoji base with paulownia crest and some other kind of family crest engraved and inlayed with gold
Saya : The cracked egg shell is glued with lacquer.
Kojiri: Iron base
Menuki : A man reading is engraved with supposedly gold. The period is unknown.
