Width at the hamachi : 3.14 cm or 23.82 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 1.97 cm or 0.78 inches.
Kasane : 0.84cm or 0.33inches.
Era : Edo Kanbun Period
Shape : It is rather short katana with slight sori. Kissaki is rather long.
Jitetsu : Koitame hada well grained with jinie attahce.d It is clear jigane.
Hamon : Starting from suguha, the katana becomes gunome midare with mixture of choji midare.
The ha becomes wild like hitatsura style boushi is midarekomi style and has big burn down.
Special feature : Hoshu Takada no jyu Fujiwara Moriyuki was called Nagazaemon and was living in Takada province. However,
his sword reminds of Matsuba Motoyuki (a chauffeur smith at Hizen Karatsu provice) hamon.
The hamon is in complex style and the hitatsuba style part around the monouchi area is identical to that of Motoyuki pieces.
We could say that this is the masterpiece of Moriyuki.
The polish is done in sashikomi style so the hamon is well seen and so as the activities in the ha.
Koshirae :
Tsuba : Round shape iron ntsuba with dragon engraved.
It is western style Nanbantsuba.
Fuchikashira : Shakudo nanako plated with shi-shi dog engraved.
Saya : Black roiro saya
Menuki : Yamagane plate with shi-shi dog engraved.
