Signature : Mumei(unsigned) attributed as Naminohira
(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijo saku, Jojo saku Jo saku and regular saku)
This sword belongs to Jo saku ranking.
The blade is polished.
Habaki :gold foiled single Habaki.
Blade length : 69.4 cm or inches.
Sori : 1.7 cm or inches.
Mekugi :
Width at the Hamachi : 2.85 cm or 27.3 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.23 cm or 0.88 inches.
Kasane : 0.72 cm or 0.28 inches.
Era : Early Muromachi period.
Shape : The blade is Oosuriage Mumei. Having standard width and thickness, deep curve Muromachi period style sword with Bo-hi and Soe-hi on both sides of the blade.
Jigane : Koitame-hada well grained with Jinie attach soft feeling.
Hamon : Bright Niedeki Suguha Hamon. Boshi is round shape Hakikake style.
Special feature : The founder of the Naminohira school started from Heian period and continued up to late Edo period for very long generations.
The blades forged by this school are having soft feeling Koitame-hada and Suguha Hamon.
This style never changed.
Jigane of this blade is very attractive with Shirake Utsuri appear, even for having some small Kizu (scratches) on the surface.
Having elegant curve with Hi and Bo-hi engraved both sides of the blade.
The Jigane is soft and typical Suguha Hamon as Naminohira school.

Tsuba : Some design is engrave open work on round iron Tsuba.
Fuchi-kashira : Made from silver plate.
Saya : Russet colored Isimeji Saya, Inro-kizami style.
Menuki : Chrysanthemum flower is engraved on Shakudo-nanakoji plate with gold color.
