ayagaki was done by Dr Kanzan sensei.
The blade was polished by high ranking polisher.
Blade length : 59.8 cm or 23.54 inches.
Sori : 1.45 cm or 0.57 inches.
Mekugi : 2
Width at the hamachi : 2.85cm or 1.12 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 1.91cm or 0.75 inches.
Kasane : 0.75cm or 0.29 inches.
Era :late Kamakura period.
Shape : The blade is oosuriage mumei(cut shortened)
engraved Bo-hi on both sides of the blade.
middle size Kissaki elegant shape.
Jitetsu :Koitame had and mokume hada mixed with jinie attach beautiful texture.
Hamon : Koniedeki suguha with a loto of soft ash, yo scatter in Ha.
Boshi is sansaku style noter and turns back.
Special feature : He was a younger brother Sahei Jo and studied under the Kagemitsu.
This blade was judged as Unju by Dr Kanzan sensei and NBTHK Koshu Tokubetsu Kicho but at the NBTHK Tokubetsu Hozon, judged as Osafune Shigezane. The blade is admitted as Shigezane or Unjyu
I think Boshi is sansaku style, so Shigezane is much better than Unju I think.
By the way, this sword was made around late Kamakura period
