The blade was polished.
Blade length : 54.4 cm or 21.43 inches.
Sori : 0.9 cm or 0.35 inches.
Mekugi : 2 is open, 1 is filled.
Width at the hamachi : 3.10 cm or 1.2 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.30 cm or 0.90 inches.
Kasane : 0.70 cm or 0.27 inches.
Era : Kansei 4 Nen(1792)
Shape : It is wide and thick sword with long and magnificent kissaki tip. It is excellent shape wakizashi.
Jitetsu : Koitame hada well grained with jinie attached. The surface is plain style.
Hamon : Starting from suguha, the hamon gradually becomes gunome midare, o-gunome with douran-ba style.
Nie is deeply attached. Ashi is well attached. Boshi is round end.
Special feature : Nobuchika is a sword smith from Owari province and had his real name Maeda Sadahachi.
He is a student of 6th generation Nobutaka of Owari province.
Later on, he has moved to Osaka and become the student of Osaki Suketaka following by the name Sukekane.
He has passed away in Kansei 10th year(1798).
This sword was made when he was a student of Osaki Suketaka.
Alike the sword of his mentor Suketaka, this sword is douranba style and it is nice condition.
Koshirae :
Tsuba : Round shape iron tsuba with tiger and bamboo engraved. It is covered with vein gold.
Fuchikashira : On silver plate. horse design is engraved katagiri(one side carve).
Saya : Uniquely painted red color saya
Menuki : On shakudo plate, carp is engraved.
Kurigata : Silver Plate
