Signature : Mumei(unsigned) attributed as Komihara.
The blade was polished
Habaki :gold foiled double habaki.
Blade length : 72.12cm or 28.39inches.
Sori : 1.65cm or 0.64inches.
Mekugi : 3
Width at the hamachi : 3.17cm or 1.25inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2cm or 0.79inches.
Kasane : 0.74cm or inches.
Era : Late Kamakura period to Nanbokucho period.
Shape : The blade is oosuriage mumei and wide
and thick with deep sori nice looking healthy blade.
Jitetsu :Itame hada well grained with jinie attach
and chikei work like Chirimen had.
Hamon : Niedeki suguha with kasha bright. Boshi is round shape.
Special feature : Komihara school was working at Bingo province
by Masahiro, Masaie at late Kamakura to early Nanbokucho period.
This sword was made around late Kamakura period.
From the texture, Chirimen hada looks Aoe school but NBTHK judged as
Komihara school. Komihara and Aoe are sometimes very similar
texture because both sword makers are neighbor country Hiroshima and Okayama.
The blade is very healthy and might be upgrade to Jyuyo token.(we don't guarantee)
Koshirae : NBTHK Tokubetsu hozon To-sogu.
Tsuba :On the mokko style iron tsuba, a tiger is engraved with gold color.
Fuchikashira :On the syakudo nanako plate, a tiger is engraved with gold color.
Saya : blackroiro kawarinuri(uniquely paint) saya.
Menuki : a shish dog is engraved by syakudo plate.
Both Koshirae and sword accompanied with NBTHK Tokubetsu Hozon paper.
