The blade was polished by high ranking polisher.
Blade length : 70.0 cm or 27.55 inches.
Sori : 1.8 cm or 0.70 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 3.06 cm or 1.20 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 1.85 cm or 0.72 inches.
Kasane : 0.81 cm or 0.31 inches.
Era : Showa period.
Shape : It is wide and rather thick nice shape katana
Jitetsu : Kokitame hada well grained with jinie attached.
It is beautiful hadame steel pattern.
Hamon : Nie structured suguha with mixture of gunome midare, choji midare with ashi yo well attached.
There are sunagashi and fine kinsuji works appearing.
Special feature : Yasunori (Takenori) was a famous Yasukuni swordsmith.
He was born in Hiroshima province in 1907.
His real name is Kajiyama Tokutaro.He entered Nihonto Tanrenkai in 1933, and he forged about 1,250 swords including dedicating swords to shin-to shrines.
(He engraved signature "Ujimasa" before he entered Nihonto Tanrenkai.)
He withdrew in 1940.
He engraved signature “Masamune” after 1943. He passed away 1957.
He engraved “Yasunori” in Nihonto Tanrenkai, but he engraved signature "Takenori" at his home.
Of all the immitated Rai pieces in Kamakura peirod, this piece is especially in nice condition.
