Signature : Taira Nagamori
The blade was polished.
Blade length : 71.0 cm or 27.95 inches.
Sori : 1.7 cm or 0.6 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 2.69 cm or 1.05 inches.
Kasane : 0.80 cm or 0.31 inches.
Era : Late Muromachi period. 1590.
Shape : The blade looks long Nagamaki style.
Jitetsu : Itame hada well grained with jinie attach and shirake utsuri appear.
On the Ji, oohada appear and small kizu but not serious.
Hamon : Niedeki suguha with koashi(small ash) work.Boshi is hakikake style.
Special feature : Taira nagamori is well known swordsmith in Taira school who was working at Bungo province.
Generally this Taira Takada school made swords as cut well and mass productive items.
So this school is not good reputation but Nagamori is one of the best of this school.

Koshirae :
Tsuba : On the mokko style iron Tsuba, a dragon is engraved.
Fuchikashira : On the syakudo nano plate, kick flowers are engraved with gold color.
Saya : Kawarinuri saya.(On the top part, small detached)
Menuki : Ume flower is engraved with gold color.
Historical background : Late Muromachi war time.
