Kasane : 0.58cm or 0.23inches.
Era : Edo Kanbun period.
Shape : It is wide and thick rather thick with gomabashi(buddhist stick)
and bonji engraved. On the back the is a huge hi engraved.
Jitetsu :Koitame hada well grained with jinie attached, The steel surface and the jigane is clear.
Hamon : Nie base suguha with notare mix. The nioiguchi is deep and ashi is well seen.
Boushi is round end.
Special feature : Yamato Daijyo Fujiwara Masanori is derived
from the Yamashiro Sanjyo Yoshinori school.
From Tango province, Now Hyogo prefecture, he moved to Echizen.
It is very similar to that of Echizen Yasutsugu in terms of the deep
nioi guchi and notare temper line. You all might be aware but
after Muromachi period end and Edo period starts, the making of tanto decreases significantly.
The shinto tanto is quite rare. Masanori has made many katana and wakizashi making.
All of them are high quality.
