Fukuro-Yari in Shirasaya

Signature : Mumei

(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo saku, Jyojyo saku, Jyo saku and regular saku)
This sword belongs to regular saku ranking.

The blade was polished.
Blade length : 12 cm or 4.72 inches.
Sori : No Sori
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 2.18 cm or 0.85 inches.
Kasane : 0.85 cm or 0.33 inches.
Era : Edo period
Shape : On the front, goma hashi was engraved and on the back, bonji was engraved.
Jigane : Koitame hada with Masame mixed.
Hamon : Niedeki gunome midare.

special feature : This Yari without nakago, so we call it Fukuro-Yari.
Advantage of Fukuroyari is easy to be used and carry.
At wartime, soldier can use wood or bamboo make a Tsuka very easy.
Famous Chikuzen Nobukuni sect is made a lot of Fukuro-Yari.
