Width at the hamachi : 2.81cm or 1.106inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 1.97cm or 0.775inches.
Kasane : 0.6cm or 0.236 inches.

Era : Mid Muromachi period.
Shape : It is regular size width and thickness.
It is oosuriage mumei blade with some sori. The kissaki is long ended.
Jitetsu : Itame hada well grained with jinie attached, It is strong hada and the pattern is well seen.
Hamon : Nie base gunome midare style . There are sunagashi and delicate kinsuji seen.
The boshi is active but the surface is round ended and the back is midare komi style.
Special feature : Kanenobu existed on both Naoe Shizu school and Shiga seki.
It is easily been confused as there are many
similar pieces. This piece is from Shigaseki Kanenobu .
It has ups and downs on the ha. The boshi gives us an impression that
it is old. This has been came down from long time ago as Naoeshizu but currently,
it is attributed as Mumei (unsigned) Kanenobu
in Tokubetsu Kicho paper. There are ups and downs on hamon and it is attributes as Shigaseki Kanenobu.
The blade is healthy and bright hamon.
