Blade length : 71.4cm or 28.12inches.
Sori : 1.7cm or 0.6inches.
Mekugi : 2
Width at the hamachi : 3.32cm or 1.3inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.22cm or 0.87inches.
Kasane : 0.75cm or 0.29inches.
Era : middle Muromachi period.
Shape : Wide and thick Katana. On both side, there are Bohi.
Jitetsu : Itame had masa nagare with jinie attach, and it is easy to see the texture.
Hamon : Nie base gunome midare. The ha is active with sunagashi, detail kinsuji.
Special feature : This sword is called as Shiga seki school Kanenobu.
Kanenobu was working at Mino province and moved to Shiga province.
Kanenobu existed on both Naoe Shizu school and Shiga seki.
It is easily been confused as there are many
similar pieces. This piece is from Shigaseki Kanenobu .
It has ups and downs on the ha. You can enjoy with this Hamon very much. This blade is nice length and has Bohi. We also recommend this Katana for Iai too.
