The blade was polished.
Blade length : 53.18 cm or 20.93 inches.
Sori : 1.8 cm or 0.70 inches.
Mekugi: 3
Width at the hamachi : 2.87 cm or 1.12 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 1.90 cm or 0.74 inches.
Kasane : 0.57 cm or 0.22 inches.
Era : Late Kamakura period(1312-1317).
Shape : Shinogi-tukuri, Iori-mune, with deep sori.
Jitetsu : Itame hada and mokume hada combined with jinie attach with slightly Chikei appear.
Hamon : Choji midaire and Gunome midaire mixed with ashi yo and Kinsuji sunagashi in Ha.
Special feature : Nagamitsu is son of Mitsutada. He became the 2nd generation of Osafune school.
His signature swords was greatest number of swords in this period.
All such swords are very nice work and artistic. He has two styles. One is gorgeous Choji midare which looks like his father's sword. And the other is peaceful Suguha.
This Kodachi has a lot of nice Nie, Kinsuji and Sunagashi. This gorgeous Hamon is typical Nagamitsu Hamon. We recommend this blade very much.
