Blade length is 68.9cm. By Kanzan Shi(Kao) in autumn 1977.
Shinto: Jyo saku: Kaga province.
(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo saku, Jyojyo saku Jyo saku and regular saku)
This sword belongs to Jyojyo Saku ranking.
The blade was polished.
Habaki : Gold foiled double Habaki.
Blade length : 68.9 cm or 27.12 inches.
Sori : 2.0 cm or 0.78 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 2.90 cm or 1.14 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 1.96 cm or 0.77 inches.
Kasane : 0.71 cm or 0.27 inches.
Era : Edo period, around Enpo era.
Shape : Nice shape Katana with large Sori. The Kissaki is long.
Jigane : Ko-Itame Hada well grained with Jinie attach. There are Chikei.
Hamon : Nie Deki, square shape Gunome Midare with Notare-Ha.
In Ha, there are Yo. Boshi is Midarekomi Togari shape.
Special feature : Kanewaka was a swodsmith in Kaga province,
and they continued 5 generations from Genna era(about 1615) to Genbun era(about 1736).
This blade was made by 3rd generation of Kanewaka. He was called Shirouemon.
He helped his father with making sword. He succeeded to name after the death of his father in 1677.
His style looks like 2nd genration of Kanewaka. This blade is very healthy and nice work.
The Hamon is typical Kanewaka square shape Gunome Midare.

Fuchi: Shakudo, some pattern is engraved. Kashira: Black horn.
Saya : Black Roiro Saya.
Menuki : Solid gold, Ume flower is engraved.
Kozuka Kogatana: Shakudo Nanako, autumn insects and flowers are engraved with gold and silver color.
Kogai : Shakudo Nanako, autumn insects are engraved with gold color.
