Syowa 51 Nen Bansyu Kichijitsu Kanzan Shi.
Explanation : Inoue Shinkai The blade was made around Edo period Enpo 8th The blade is very good work and precious. the length is 54,5cm Syowa 51st late Autumn lucky day. Kanzan write his own diary.

The blade was polished by the top ranking polisher.
Blade length : 54.5 cm or 21.45 inches.
Sori : 1.0 cm or 0.39 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 3.25 cm or 1.27 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.22 cm or 0.87 inches.
Kasane : 0.80 cm or 0.31 inches.
Era : Edo period Enpo era.
Shape : The blade is wide(3.25cm) and thick and also long size with long kissaki nice looking healthy blade.
Jitetsu : Koitame had well grained with jinie attach beautiful texture.
Hamon : Niedeki Futosuguba with very very thick nioikuchi suguha based and wavy noter hamon.
In Hamon, there are small sunagashi and kinsuji work.
Especially Habuchi (border line of Hamon and Ji) is called Yuki no muragie(enough snow on the leaves is now melting by the sunshine which the scene is called Yuki no Muragie)
Japanese favorite this kind of the scene like poem.
Boshi is midarekomi hakikake style.
Special feature : Inoue Shinkai was a son of the first generation Izumo Kami Kunisada who was called Hachirobei. For the first time,
He made swords for his father which is called Daisaku) and after that he succeeded to father's job
and changed his name to Inoue Shinkai and also permitted to cut the Kikumon on the tang.
Shinkai and Sukehiro are the twin jewels in Oosaka Settsu shito sword makers.
These sword makers develop through friendly competition I think.
Because I saw the Gasaku sword by Shinkai and Sukehiro which was upgraded to NBTHK Tokubetsu Jyuyo token.
Generally Sukehiro made many swords but Shinkai made a few especially signature Inoue shinkai.
He was influenced by Go or Masamune.
This sword is also fantastic Go style sword with very thick nioikuchi.
He sometimes Doran hamon but sugguha with thick nioikuchi Go or Masamune style arewelcomed by sword collectors.
