Special feature: This old painting of stores and the street seems to be drawn at Azuchi-momoyama period.
Merchants starts to use the words to ‘Noren’ (shop curtain) after Edo period because literacy rate became higher. Before Muromachi period, family crests were used for shop curtains.
This old painting seems to be a part of Byobu (folding screes).
Frame is made from bamboo.
