The blade was polished.
Habaki : Gold foiled double Habaki.
Blade length : 45.3 cm or 17.8 inches.
Sori : 1.0 cm or 0.39 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the Hamachi : 2.8 cm or 1.1 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.13 cm or 0.84 inches.
Kasane :0.56 cm or 0.22 inches.
Era : Edo period Keian era. (A.D.1648~1651)
Shape : The blade is regular size with small Sori and longer Kissaki.
Jigane : Koitame hada well grained with Jinie attach and nice Hizen Konuka Hada.
Hamon : Niedeki Suguha Hamon with thick Nioikuchi and soft Habuchi with Koashi.
Boshi is round shape with thick Nioikuchi and brush up.
special feature: Tadahiro the Second generation was born as 'Heisakuro Hashimoto', legitimate son of Tadayoshi the First. Tadahiro was only19 years old when his father passed away in 1632 but he was enough skillful to make sword at that time. Tadahiro designated the Omi-Daijo in 1641, aged 29 and continued not only forging sword but also supervised many pupils until his death in 1693, aged 80. He is known as a skillful swordsmith almost all works are above the standard hizen-to. He had been made sword for a long period of time to leave the largest number of swords in the swordsmiths of Hizen school. He was good at both of Suguha and Choji-midare Hamon. Especially the beauty of jitetsu called konuka-hada is appreciated as the best among the hizen-to. His swords are ranked at the Owaza-mono because of the sharpness.

Menuki : Dragon is engraved with gold color.
Hichi: On the Shakudo plain plate, dragon is engraved with gold color.
