Signature : Ryusaishi Minamoto Masashige Saku.
Tenpo 3 nen Mizunoe Tatsu 8 gatsu hi (August 1832)
(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo saku, Jyojyo saku
Jyo saku and regular saki)This sword Ryusaishi Minamoto Masashige belongs to Jyo saku ranking.
The blade was polished.
Habaki :single gold foiled habaki.
Blade length : 66.03 cm or 25.99 inches.
Sori : 1.5 cm or 0.59 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 2.62cm or 1.03 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 1.77cm or 0.69 inches.
Kasane : 0.79cm or 0.31 inches.
Era : Late Edo period Tenpo era.
Shape :The blade is regular size width, thickness and elegant shape.
Jigane:Koitame hada well grained with jinie attach nice beautiful texture.
Hamon:Niedeki suguha hamon and some parts are thick nioikuchi
and fat soft feeling Ashi scatter. Boshi is round shape thick nioikuchi.
Special feature : Ryusaishi Minamoto Masashige was
a student of the Suishinshi Masahide and called Matanosuke Sumikawa.
His sibject is very similar with his master Masahide.
Especially The Hamon which is thick nioikuchi and ashi are as same as Masahide.
Koshirae:
Tsuba:On the round shape iron tsuba, same battling samurai are engraved
with golod color. Mogarashi Soten style.
Menuki:dragon is engraved by brass plate.
Fuchikashira:On the shibuichi plate, a dragon is engraved with gold color: Mei:Naohiro.
Saya: on the long lines are engraved and aogai chirashi(blue tiny shell powder)
This saya is unusual Iriko saya. (inside of the saya can remove and clean)

Shape :This wakizashi is smaller size with deep sori elegant shape.
