A little bit Suriage, Zaimei(there is a signature), Kanbun era.
Blade length is 69.7cm. by Honami Nishu(Living National Treasure)
in February 1987.
Shinto: Chusaku: Awa province.
(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo saku, Jyojyo saku Jyo saku and regular saku)
This sword belongs to Jyo ranking.
The blade was polished.
Habaki : Double copper with gold color Habaki.
Blade length : 69.7 cm or 27.44 inches.
Sori :1.3 cm or 0.51 inches.
Mekugi : 2
Width at the hamachi : 3.05 cm or 1.20 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.14 cm or 0.84 inches.
Kasane : 0.75 cm or 0.29 inches.
Era : Edo period, around Kanbun era.
Shape : Suriage(about 3cm), Machiokuri, regular size Katana.
There are engraving of dragon and Ken.
Jigane : The mixture of Itame Hada and Mokume Hada with Jinie attach
and visible to see the texture.
Hamon : Nie Deki, Suguha with Notare.
Boshi is round shape.
Special feature: Ashu Ju Fujiwara Sukenobu, he succeed in Kanbun era in Awa province.
The Jigane is so nice. Unfortunately we do not know when the engraving was made.
But it is good work.
Koshirae :
Saya : Black Saya with red color.
Tsuba : Shakudo Tachi Tsuba.
Menuki : Yari and Naginata are engraved with gold color.
Fuchikashira: Kojiri: Ume flower is engraved.
