Sori : 2.0 cm or 0.78 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 3.19 cm or 1.25 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 1.98 cm or 0.77 inches.
Kasane : 0.7 cm or 0.27 inches.
Era : Late Edo period.
Shape : Wide and thick blade with Sori. Nice shape Katana.
Jitetsu :Ko-Itame Hada well grained with Jinie attach.
Hamon : Nie Deki Gunome Midare. There are many Ashi.
Boshi is Midarekomi round shape.
Special feature : There is signature"Awataguchi Oumi kami Tadatsuna".
But unfortunately we do not guarantee this signature.
From the Jigane and hamon, it seems to be late Edo work.
Koshirae :
Tsuba : Round shape iron Tsuba with open work.
Fuchikashira : Iron, calabash is engraved with gold color.
Saya : Black Ishimeji Saya with some line design.
Menuki : Shakudo, dragon is engraved with gold color.
