This Bishu Osafune Sukesada belongs to Jyo saku ranking.
The blade was polished.
Blade length : 69.24 cm or 27.27 inches.
Sori : 2.4 cm or 0.94 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 2.90 cm or 1.14 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.03 cm or 0.79 inches.
Kasane : 0.67 cm or 0.26 inches.
Era : Muromachi period. around Eiroku era
Shape : Regular size blade with deep Sori. Kissaki is long. Ubu-Nagago.
Jitetsu : Ko-Itame Hada and Mokume Hada mixed.
There are Ohada and some small Kizu. But there are nice Utsuri.
Hamon : Nie Deki, Suguha base with double-Ha.
There are Ashi, Yo and Sunagashi. Boshi is round shape.
Special feature : Bishu Osafune Sukesada has flourished during late Muromachi period.
Sukesada made many mass productive items.
However, this blade is Ubu and a process of folding and forging.
There are some small Kizu. But the shape is good.
