This Bishu Osafune Jyu Den Tsuneie belongs to Jyo Jyo saku ranking.

The blade has high quality polish done
Habaki: Gold Single Foiled Habaki
Blade length : 61.6 cm or 24.25 inches.
Sori : 1.8 cm or 0.7 inches.
Mekugi : 3
Width at the hamachi : 2.57cm or 1.01inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 1.81cm or 0.71inches.
Kasane : 0.62cm or 0.24inches.
Era : Late Muromachi period Ouei to Eikyo(around 580 years ago).
Shape : It is Suriage Machiokuri work. Around the end of the nakago
there is signature Bishu Osafune Jyu.
It is regular width and thickenss elegant shape katana.
Jitetsu : Koitame hada with mixture of Mokume hada.
Jinie is well attached. There is much chike work and beautiful jigane.
There is some faint Utsuri is appearing in the ji.
Hamon : Konie Deki Suguha with mixture of Komidare.
It is bright Komidare mix.
Special feature : Osafune Tsuneie has worked actively
from Ouei to Eiraku. During early Muromachi period,
famous Yasumitsu and Morimitsu was active and sword smiths such
as Iesuke and Tsuneie has made fine jigane that was influenced
by Iemori and Tsuneie. At first glance it is Yasumitsu.
The hamon is brigh and elegant style hamon.
