Katana in Koshirae.
Signature : Bizen Koku… attributed as Sukesada.

This sword belongs to regular saku ranking.
The blade is polished.
Blade length : 73.63 cm or 28.98 inches.
Sori : 1.8 cm or 0.70 inches.
Mekugi : 2
Width at the Hamachi : 3.28 cm or 1.29 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.42 cm or 0.95 inches.
Kasane : 0.67 cm or 0.26 inches.
Era : Late Muromachi period, around Genki era (1570-1573).
Shape : Wide and thick, Suriage Katana. The Kissaki is long.
This is typical late Muromachi blade.
Jigane : The mixture of Itame Hada and Mokume Hada with Jinie attach.
There are some Kizu. But it is not serious.
Hamon : Nie Deki, Suguha. But it is not clear,
because there are a lot of Hajimi.
Boshi is Midarekomi Togari shape.
Special feature : There are so many swords were made in late Muromachi period.
Because the Age of Civil Wars, the demand for swors had increased.
Sukesada and Kiyomitsi made a lot of swords corresponding to the request.
This blade passed 450 years. You can see the Hajimi.
But the blade is relatively healthy. And also the shape is nice and long.
Koshirae : Tachi Koshirae.
Saya : Black Ishime Ji Saya.
Tsuba : Iron Tachi Tsuba, peony is engraved with gold color.
Menuki : The harness is engraved.
