Signature : Bizen koku Osafune ju Sukemori
Bunka 11nen 8gatsu-hi. (August, 1814)
The blade was polished.
Blade length : 72.3 cm or 28.46 inches.
Sori : 1.6 cm or 0.62 inches.
Mekugi: 1
Width at the hamachi : 3.10 cm or 1.22 inches.
Wide at the Kissaki : 2.15 cm or 0.84 inches.
Kasane : 0.76 cm or 0.29 inches.
Era : Late Edo period. Bunka era.(August, 1814)
Shape : This blade is wide and massive Katana with rather deep Sori and long Kissaki. It’s very nice shape.
Jitetsu : Very tight Ko-itame, with Jinie attach. It’s beautiful Jitetsu.
Hamon : Nie based, Suguha. There are many Ashi in Ha.
Boshi is round shaped Kaeri style.
Special features : Sukemori was born as a son of Sukehira.
And he was called Shichibe. He was student of Sukenaga.
And he became adopted child of Shichibe-Sukesada.
Sukemori made this blade to aim Kobizen blade.
This blade is very healthy. Espercially Jitetsu is very beautiful.
Koshirae : Handachi style Koshirae.
Fuchikashira : Made with iron plate.
Saya : Black Ishime-ji Saya.
Menuki : On the Shakudo plate, flowers are engraved with gold color.
