The blade was polished by high ranking polisher.
Habaki: gold foiled double habaki.
Blade length : 68.2 cm or 26.85 inches.
Sori : 2.4 cm or 0.94 inches.

Width at the hamachi :2.9 cm or 1.14 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 1.9cm or 0.74 inches.
Kasane : 0.72cm or 0.28 inches.
Weight of the blade:665 grams.
Era : Late Muromachi period Eisyo era.1519(about 500 years ago)
Shape : The blade is regular size width, thickness. with deep sori nice looking shape which is called Katateuchi style short nakago.
Jitetsu :Koiktame hada and mokume hada well grained with jinie attach and chikei work and also utsuri appear.
Hamon : Niedeki suguha with koashi bright and sharp hamon.
Boshi is round with midarekomi style with kinsuji and sunagashi.
Special feature : Bizen Kuni Ju Osafune Sakyo no shin Munemitsu was a second son of the Rokuro daemon Sukemitsu.
He was traveling all over the country with his older brother Ukyo ryo Katsumitsu.
After his older brother passed away, he taught making sword technique to Legitimate child Jiro daemon Katsumitsu.
He also he taught to famous daimyo Akamatsu Masanori for making sword.
Probably he passed away Daiei 7 or 8 age 91 years of age long life.
So he had been keeping sword making for 55 years during his long life.
This sword was made at 1519(Eisyo 16th) about 500 years ago.
The blade is Zokumyo uchi(the sword was made by extremely payed attention by using high quality of Tamahagane.
The blade is typical Katate uchi style with short nakago with one mekugina and elegant shape sword.
The blade has passed about for 500 years of age.
Even though some small lose hada, it is very difficult to look for Zokumyo sword Ukyo no shin Munemitsu.
It is a good opportunity to obtain this great sword.
