The blade was polished.
Habaki: Gold single foiled habaki
Blade length : 65.46cm or 25.77inches.
Sori : 1.2cm or 0.47inches.
Mekugi: 1
Width at the hamachi : 3.16cm or 1.24inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.17cm or 0.85inches.
Kasane : 0.76cm or 0.3inches.
Era : Showa period.
Shape : It is wide and thick strong looking katana.
Jitetsu :Masame hada well grained with chikei seen along.
Hamon : It is rather tight nioi-guchi hamon.
The ashi is active attached and boshi is round end.
Special feature : Hidehiro is a sword smith from Fukuoka refecture.
He was born in Meiji 24th period.
He was called Muto Hideyoshi and was former authorized army swordsmith.
He has won several prize including Army Gunto Skills Encouragement prize.
It is admired greatly just to imagine that he had made sword in such limited materials.
It is the month that the war ended (August,1945) .
This sword is recommended both as diplay and sporting purpose.
