Explanation: Sesshu Osaka Echigo kami Kanesada.
There is record of the year "8nen 8gatsu hi"(August 1668).
Blade length is 76.06 cm. The one of Dr. Kanzan's tresaured blade.

There is record of the year "8nen 8gatsu hi"(August 1668).
This is 2nd generation Kanesada who is same as Shin Tesukane.
Suguha base, Ko-Gunome Midare. This blade is typical Kanesada.
This is nice provide a basis on which to know his good skill.
The forging is also nice and healthy Jigane.
Blade length is 76.06 cm.

This Echigo kami Kanesada belongs to JyoJyosaku ranking.
The blade was polished.
Blade length : 76.06 cm or 29.94 inches.
Sori : 1.2 cm or 0.47 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 3.33 cm or 1.31 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.29 cm or 0.90 inches.
Kasane : 0.80 cm or 0.31 inches.
Era : Edo period, around Kanbun era(August 1668).
Shape : It is wide(3.33cm) and thick blade. The Kissaki is long and thick nice shape katan
Jitetsu : Koitame hada well grained with beautiful Osaka Jigane steel.
Hamon : Nie Deki, Suguha base Gunome Midare.
There are partly some sunagashi and fine kinsuji works appearing.
Boshi is round and Hakikake style.
Special feature : Echigo (No) Kami Kanesada the Second forged this wakizashi.
Echigo (No) Kami Kanesada the First is known as an Osaka shin-to swordsmith born in Yamato province
and learned under Iga (No) Kami Kanemichi the First. Kanesada was ranked as a Ryo-waza mono.
It is said that the Second Echigo (No) Kami Kanesada was born in Mino or Kochi province.
He learned under Kanesada the First at Osaka and later became a son-in-law.
The Second was superior to the First and ranked at O-waza-mono. Excellent workmanship
was on the same level with Tsuda Sukehiro and Inoue Shinkai.
After retirement, though practically gave the swordsmith name Echigo (No) Kami Kanesada
to his real son Yamada Iwamatsu, the Second Kanesada continued forging sword under
the name of Sakakura Gonnoshin Terukane. It attracts our interest that he almost dated
with this signatature although he rarely did it as Echigo (No) Kami Kanesada.
It is rare for the Kanesada to engrave Ura Mei. There are two Sayagaki on both side of the Saya.
And also this blade is the one of Dr. Kanzan's tresaured blade.
The forging is also nice and healthy Jigane. This is masterpiece blade.
