Shinto: Jyoskau: Ryowazamono: Echizen
The blade was polished.
Habaki: Shakudo and gold foiled double habaki.
Blade length : 73.62 cm or 28.98 inches.
Sori : 1.56 cm or 0.61 inches.
Mekugi : 2
Width at the hamachi : 2.95 cm or 1.16 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 1.76 cm or 0.69 inches.
Kasane : 0.65 cm or 0.25 inches.
Era : Edo period. Kanbun era.
Shape : regular size, long Kissaki Katana.
Jitetsu :Itame Hada well grained with Jinie attached. It is blackish Jigane.
Hamon : Nie Deki Suguha base with Ko-Gunome Midare mixed and Notare.
There is Tobiyaki. Boshi is large round shape and Togari gokoro.

Special feature : This piece is second generation of Yasutsugu who is the son of first generation Yasutsugu.
The first generation was originally from Oumi province and has moved to Echizen Fukui .
At first, he gave his name as Higo Daijyo Shimosaka or only Shimosaka.
He has later become a chauffeur of Tokugawa family.
This piece is the second generation signature and it has rustic taste.
There is ups and downs in the ha.
There is cutting test signature at the back and it is written Kesa Tabitabi Ochi. It has the feeling of sharpness.
