Special Feature: It is said that Nagamitsu and Emura were working at the Okayama prison during the war time. Only earnest convicts with long prison terms made swords in the prison next to the head warden, Chounsai Emura is the head of the Okayama warden. the polishing was also done there. Emura has been passed away at Showa 35th year. His signatures are as 江-E-, 江村-Emura-、長運斉江村作-Chounsai Emura saku.
I think his capability is higher than regular Nagamitsu. If a blade is polished like this sword, a blade looks much better than Yasukuni shrine blade like Yasunobu and Yasushige class. In the future, Emura’s works would get high reputation. This sword is polsihed pefectly by a nice polisher and it’s easy to see his fantastic work.
Back in the day, Nagamitsu and Emura have been easily confused. However Emura’s works are beter than Nagamitsu.
I have been looking in to Emura and Nagamitsu for a long time, I can say that while Nagamitsu’s swords qualities are different depending on a sword, All Emura’s swords are above the standard. Some swords may even be better than the Yasukuni sword. This sword is healthy nice looking shape.
I think this hamon looks shinshinto jyosaku ranking high quality blade.
