Signature:Fujiwara Kunitomo.
shinshinto :Mutsu province.
The blade was polished.
Habaki :cpper single habaki.
Blade length : 71.05 cm or 27.97 inches.
Sori : 1.65 cm or 0.64 inches.
Mekugi:1
Width at the hamachi : 2.95 cm or 1.16 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.21 cm or 0.87 inches.
Kasane : 0.7 cm or 0.27 inches.
Era : Late Edo period Bunsei eras.
Shape : The blade is rather wide and thick with longer kissaki strong feeling shape.
Jitetsu :Itame hada well grained with jinie attach hadatachi jigane visible to see the texture.
Hamon : Niedeki suguha based with thick nioikuchui.In Hamon,
there are many sunagashi and strong Kinsuji work.Boshi is
rather midarekomi with kinsuji.
Special feature : Fujiwara Kuninori was working at Mutsu province.This swordsmith is not well known sword maker but the
blade is strong feeling with full of charm of sunagashi and Kinsuji scatter.
He left not so many swords during his life but the Hamon is very strong.
Koshirae :
Tsuba :On the round shaped iron Tsuba, wild geese are engraved
and strong iron lines which looks like Akasaka school stub.
Fuchikashira :On the copper nanakoji plate, leaves are engraved
by Syakudo plate.
Saya : black ishimeji saya.
Menuki : On the syakudo plate, a bird is engraved with gold color.
