Sue Koto: Chusaku: Mutsu province.
Habaki: silver single Habaki.
The blade was polished.
Blade length : 78.1 cm or 30.74 inches.
Sori : 3.0 cm or 1.18 inches.
Mekugi: 1
Width at the hamachi :3.05 cm or 1.20 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 1.87 cm or 0.73 inches.
Kasane : 0.63 cm or 0.24 inches.
Era : Late Muromachi Period Eisyo era.1504(500 years ago.
Shape : The blade is rather wide and thick with deep sori nice looking shape.
Jitetsu :The jigane is Ayasugi had well grained with jinie attach marvelous Ayasugi had.
Hamon : Niedeki suguha and round shape boshi.
Special feature : Gassan Yoshihisa is one of the Ousyu Gassan school.
This sword maker Yoshihisa was working at middle to late Muromachi period Eisyo era.
The founder of the Gassan school Onioomaru early Kamakura period and later on many sword makers made
Ayasugi had sword. But unfortunately the Gassan school was stopped to continue making swords.
At Late Edo period, Gassan Sadayoshi and his adopted son Gassan Sadakazu tried to make old gassan hada.
Finaly they succeeded making this Ayasugihada and kept as the top secret and taught to next generation
sword maker who succeeded to next generation.
Even in modern times this Ayasugihada is the top secret for Gassan school.
Only one exceptional sword maker Enomoto Sadayoshi succeeded to make Ayasugihada.
But this Ayasugihada is pretty difficult and he didn't make a lot.
This sword is quite rare because the blade has Uramei Eisyo era.
The blade has kept in good condition for a long period.
Koshirae : snake skin is covered all fittings,
Tsuba :Tachi stub with shark skin.
Fuchikashira :On the syakudo plate, engraved grass design.
Saya : snake skin.
Menuki : A flower design is engraved by syakudo plate.
Tsukamaki thread was made by snake skin.
