Kasane : 0.82cm or 0.32inches.
Era : Modern period.
Shape : It is wide(3.75cm) and thick(0.82cm) strong katana
with kissaki long and big. It is magnificent looking katana.
Jitetsu : Koitame hada well grained with jinie attached.
It is clear jigane.
Hamon : Nie base with deep nioi particles.
Gunome line with soft ashi attached.
There are many activities in the ashi such as sunagashi kinsuji.
Boushi is round end.
Special feature : Tanigawa Moriyoshi was born in 1920
Taisho 9th year. As a sword smith of Hachiyo city,
he became successful as the student of Kongoubyouei Moritaka Yasuhiro.
He was also famous for imitating Kiyomaro pieces.
At Showa 60th year, he has left many masterpieces
which made many regret his death at 1990 Heisei 2nd year
at 70 years old. Many of his pieces are thick and wide as this sword.
There are many activities in the ha such as sunagashi and kinsuji streaks.
He was a human treasure that was designated by the prefecture. He one of the most well-known,
modern prize winning sword smith. The pieces are mostly imitating Kiyomaro pieces.
