The blade was polished by good polisher.
Habaki:gold foiled double habaki.
Blade length : 73.0 cm or 28.74 inches.
Sori : 2.0 cm or 0.79inches.

Width at the hamachi : 3.14 cm or1.236 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.21 cm or 0.87 inches.
Kasane : 0.64 cm or 0.252inches.

Era : Early Edo period. around Kanei era.
Shape : The blade is about 3cm suriage and wide and thick with deeper sori and longer Kissaki nice looking shape.
Jitetsu :Koitame had well grained with inie attach and chikei work beautiful Konuka hada.
Hamon : Niedeki middle suguha with thck nioikuchi and ash and Yo.
Boshi is round shape with deep nioikuchi.
Special feature : Tadayoshi the First, born Hashimoto Shinzaemon was a swordsmith of Hizen province, present Saga pref. in Kyushu Island. Both his father and grandfather passed away when Tadayoshi was 13 years old so Tadayoshi learned under Dotanuki Zenbei in Higo province, present Kumamoto pref. Tadayoshi and Munenaga went to Kyoto to learn under the Umetada School in 1596. Tadayoshi learned forging sword and Munenaga learned the carving. They returned in 1598. Tadayoshi worked as a retained swordsmith of the Nabeshima family in the domain of Saga. Tadaysohi's first sword inscribed the date was forged in 1600 at the age of 29. He changed the name to Tadahiro at the occasion of approved as the Musashi-Daijo in February 1624. Tadahiro (Tadayoshi) passed away in 1632.
At a glance, the blade looks like Rai Kunimitsu.
Especially fantastic koitame had with chikei and elegant suguha hamon
which remind us Rai Kunimitsu. deep nioikuchi suguha hamon and Hataraki in Ha is marvelous.
If the blade doesn't suriage, the blade might pass Jyuyo Token.
Anyway the blade is very healthy without Kizu and flow excellent sword.
