Signature : Hizen koku Masahiro (Not Guarantee)
The blade was polished.
Blade length : 69.6 cm or 27.40 inches.
Sori : 2.1 cm or 0.82 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 2.98 cm or 1.17 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.16 cm or 0.85 inches.
Kasane : 0.70 cm or 0.27 inches.
Era : Late Edo period.
Shape : Regular size Katana with large Sori. The Kissaki is long.
Jitetsu : Ko-Itame Hada well grained with Jinie attach. The Jigane is beautiful.
Hamon : Nie Deki, rather tight Suguha. Boshi is round shape.
Special feature : Hizen koku Masahiro descended form the Hizen Kawachi Daijo taht lasted until the 7th generation.
This blade looks like 6th generation. But the signature is a little different from real inscription. We do not guarantee this signature.
However, the blade is suitable for appreciation and Iai Do.
Koshirae :
Tsuba : Mokko shape iron Tsuba, arabesque is engraved with gold color.
Nannban Tsuba, Late Edo period.
Fuchi : Iron, rabesque is engraved.
Kashira: black horn.
Saya : Stingray with black Japanese lacquer and polished.
Menuki : dragon is engaved with gold color.
