Explanation : (the generation Tadayosi which is called Hashimoto Shinzaemon made this sword at 1859 Feb)
(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo saku, Jyojyo saku Jyo saku and regular saku)
This sword Hashimoto Shinzaemon Fujiwara Tadayoshi belongs to Jyojyo saku ranking.
Shinshinto : Jyosaku ranking : Hizen province.
The blade was polished by high ranking polisher.
Habaki : Silver double habaki
Blade length : 68.78 cm or 27.07 inches.
Sori : 1.65 cm or 0.64 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 3.12 cm or 1.22 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.18cm or 0.85 inches.
Kasane : 0.63 cm or 0.24 inches.
Era : Late Edo period (1859)
Shape : The blade is rather wide and thick with deep sori and longer kisasaki nice looking shape.
Jigane : The blade is very nice well grained hizen jigane small item had with jinie attach.
Hamon : Konie deck suguha and some thick nioikuchi bright hamon.
Boshi is round shape and Hakikake brush up style.
Special feature : Hashimoto Shinzaemon Fujiwara Tadayoshi was a adopted son of the 7th generation Tadayoshi.
He succeeded 8th generation Tadayosi.
He passes away Ansei 6th Nay 26th.
This blade was made at Ansei 6th Feb. and passed away same year.
We can say the the blade is fontal stage of Hizen school.
After he made this sword, after 3 months later he passed away.
It means that this sword is final stage of Hizen school famous sword makers.
The blade is bright hamon and clear suguha hamon make us easy feeling.
Koshirae : Koshirae is well fitting and well balanced Koshirae.
Tsuba : On the round shape iron Tsuba, mimi is covered by syakudo plate.
Saya : On the black rorior saya, spread blue iny shell powder and many black lines cover all over the kosher.
Fuchikashira : On the iron plate, karakusa style painted by gold color.
Menuki : Solid gold dragon is engraved.
Historic background : Ansei 6th November Yoshida Syoin was cut his neck by sword.
