(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo saku, Jyojyo saku
Jyo saku and regular saku)
This sword Tadahiro (not guarantee signature) belongs to Jyo saku ranking.
The blade was polished.
Habaki:silver single habaki.
Blade length : 69.2 cm or 27.24 inches.
Sori : 1.8 cm or 0.70 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 2.82 cm or 1.11 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.09 cm or 0.82 inches.
Kasane : 0.58 cm or 0.22 inches.
Weight of the blade : 690 gram
Era : Late Edo period.
Shape : The blade is regular width and thickness with deep sori and longer kissaki nice looking
Jigane : Koitame hada well grained with jinie attach Muji style jigane.
Hamon : Konie deki gunome midare with ashi, sunagashi.
Boshi is midarekomi style.
Special feature : This sword is mentioned as Hizen Kuni Jyu Tadahiro 2nd generation
but the signature is questionable and also Jigane is tight.
So at this time we don't guarantee as genuine signature.
The blade was made at late Edo period.
We think the blade will be used as Iai prsactice.
Koshirae : Handachi Koshirae which was made at late Edo period.
Tsuba : Iron Tachi tsuba.
Saya : Dark brown color.
Menuki : Uunusual interesting Menuki but it is difficult to distinguish.
Fuchikashira : Kojiri and other fittings:On the iron plate, some designe is colored by gold.
